Water Management Micromodule

Description
Water is a crucial component in agricultural productivity and contributes to food security. As the population increases, more food needs to be produced; thus, more water will be used. With the current practice, 35% of the water used in agriculture is for paddy production. However, It is assumed that 2500-5000 liters of water are needed to have 1 kg of grain. In reality, it requires less than ⅓ of this amount to have 1 kg grain.

In this Micromodule, you will learn about good water management practices and how it contributes to increasing crop yield, production efficiency, and grain quality by reducing other inputs such as fertilizers, herbicides, and pesticides.
