Water Management: In Season Micromodule

Description
Water is a crucial component in agricultural productivity and contributes to food security. As the population increases, more food needs to be produced; thus, more water will be used. With the current practice, 35% of the water used in agriculture is for paddy production. However, It is assumed that 2500-5000 liters of water are needed to produce 1 kg of grain. In reality, it requires less than ⅓ of this amount to have 1 kg grain.

In this Micromodule, you will learn about in-season good water management practices and how it contributes to increasing crop yield, production efficiency, and grain quality by reducing other inputs such as fertilizers, herbicides, and pesticides.
